Red Fern Ranch is our home before it’s ever a business.
It’s where my husband and I are raising our four kids, surrounded by horses, dogs, sheep, chickens, one ox, and the kind of daily chaos that guarantees nobody is ever bored.
Somewhere between veterinary work, school schedules, feeding animals, muddy boots, and whatever has escaped the fence this time, I started making soap. Then came candles. Then lotion. Then wax melts. And, well…things escalated.
Now the whole family has a hand in Red Fern Ranch in one way or another — helping, hauling, smelling, naming, giving opinions nobody asked for, and keeping me humble.
It’s busy. It’s messy. It’s ours.
And every product that leaves this ranch comes from the same place: our family, our home, and a genuine love for making really good stuff that also happens to make people laugh.

Our cold-process soaps are made in small batches with quality oils, rich creamy lather, and absolutely no respect for the chalky little grocery-store brick currently drying your skin out in the shower. That sad beige bar had one job and somehow turned bathing into a hostage situation. Ours clean beautifully, smell incredible, and leave your skin feeling cared for instead of aggressively degreased. Better ingredients. Better lather. Your grocery-store soap should be embarrassed
Made by hand, not by the truckload means every batch gets the care it deserves. We measure, mix, pour, cut, cure, inspect, and package each product ourselves — in small enough batches to keep a close eye on every detail. There’s no sprawling production line, no warehouse stacked with anonymous duplicates, and no settling for “close enough.” Just thoughtful craftsmanship, hardworking hands, and a slightly unreasonable devotion to making things well. Mass-produced may be efficient. We’d rather make it better.
Good Stuff In. Good Stuff Out. We’re picky about what goes into our products because, frankly, you should be too. We choose our oils, butters, waxes, fragrances, and other ingredients intentionally — looking for quality, performance, skin feel, and the kind of finished product we’re proud to use in our own home. No ingredient gets a free ride just because it sounds fancy on a label. Everything has a job. Our soaps need to lather beautifully. Our lotions need to moisturize without turning you into a greased rotisserie chicken. Our candles need to burn cleanly and smell incredible. And every finished product has to meet our standards before it ever meets you. We source quality ingredients from suppliers we trust and make each product with the same philosophy: Choose well. Make it right. Skip the unnecessary nonsense. Because a ridiculous product name is encouraged. Ridiculous ingredients? Hard pass.
Crafted With Intention Every Red Fern Ranch product is made by hand with experience, attention to detail, and a healthy refusal to settle for “good enough.” From measuring and mixing to pouring, cutting, curing, testing, and packaging, we stay involved in every step. That means more control, more consistency, and products that are made carefully from start to finish. No giant production line. No anonymous factory churn. Just skilled hands, high standards, and a slightly unreasonable amount of pride in doing things right. Handmade should mean more than homemade. Around here, it means done well

Retail selections may vary by location, and market inventory changes with the season, because we make in limited quantities and occasionally sell out of the good stuff before we can behave responsibly.
